Peng Huaisheng

Vice Chairman, Chinalco Overseas Holdings Limited
Chairman, Mineral Peru Copper Incorporation

Peng Huaisheng is Vice Chairman of Chinalco Overseas Holdings Limited and Chairman of Mineral Peru Copper Incorporation which was recently acquired by China Aluminum Corporation (Known as Chinalco).

Prior to joining Chinalco, Peng served as vice president in China Enfi Engineering Corporation (“ENFI”) and Vice President of China Nonferrous Engineering and Research Institute, a professional design institute aimed for recovery and development of Chinese nonferrous metal industry in China.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he is also a member of International Organizing Committee of World Mining Congress, member of Technology Committee at National Engineering Research Center for Metal Mining, and serves as Co-Executive Director at Mining Committee of The Nonferrous Metals Society of China. Meanwhile, he is an adjunct professor at Northeastern University and Central South University.

He has been granted a series of prizes for his contribution in technology, including a second-place National Scientific and Technological Progress Prize, a second-place Ministry Scientific and Technological Prize and a National Design Gold Award. He has published over 20 papers and books.

He holds a Ph.D. from Central South University, and an MBA from Tsinghua University.
