Mr. Pereira Lopes holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of São Paulo and a MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined GP Investments in 1997 and has been a partner thereof since 2000.  Between 2004 and 2007, he was the CEO of Equatorial Energia, one of GP Investments' portfolio companies.  Mr. Pereira Lopes is a member of the board of directors of San Antonio Oil & Gas Services and serves as substitute member of the board of directors of Magnesita.  He previously served as a member of the board of directors of Equatorial Energia, Cemar, Gafisa, Submarino, IBest, Tempo Participações, Fratelli Vita, Shoptime, Webmotors, Mercado Eletrônico, Hopi Hari and Playcenter.
