Fernando Canales Clariond, was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon in July 21, 1946. His wife is Mrs. Angela Stelzer de Canales and they have 2 daughters, Angela and Mariana; 2 sons, Fernando and Fransico; and 4 grandchildren.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Laws. (1969) Escuela Libre de Derecho.
Master Business Administration. (1971) Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
Specialization in Civilization and French. (1963) University of Sorbonne in Paris.
Specialization in Industrial Relations. (1972) Instituto de Altos Estudios en La Haya, Holanda.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES (PRIVATE SECTOR)

Mr. Canales served as Grupo IMSA’s President. He was also the Managing Director of Corporativo Grupo IMSA, S.A. de C.V. He’s been member of the Board for several companies in United States, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. He also has been member of the Board of several financial institutions. Currently Mr. Canales is the Corporacion Finestra’s President.
